Scopus continues to add Articles in Press for more and more publishers. Articles in Press are articles accepted by the Editor, but may not yet have pagination/ volume/ issue information. They are typically posted online within 5 to 10 days of being accepted by the Editor.
Scopus currently carries Articles in Press (AiP’s) for Elsevier, Springer, Karger, and Nature Publishing Group, and has most recently added AiP’s for IEEE and BioMed Central titles.
Top Tip: Looking to expand your search? Try looking at the Extended format of the Abstract and References to find how the article was Indexed. Index terminology (from PubMed, Embase, Compendex, GEOBASE, etc) is retained in the Extended format and may help you to build search strategies.
